Does anyone know why they aren't stocking Hansen Dam? I haven't seen anything on the dfg...anyone know whats up?

you best bet is to call hansen dam directly 818-899-3779
some times the dfg does not post there stockings

DFG site says catfish stocking was scheduled for week of 5 31 09.

Just fished there yesterday. decent action on the cats, none for me though. What should I be using for bait on these city cats?

Was there the other day. The board says they stocked 6/4. And I also caught nada. A little girl not far from me did catch a small trout though.

I used to live near there and hadn't fished it for 2 years or so till 6/7, 3 days after the last stocking. I only saw one guy at the lake catch one catfish and I got skunked. It was really weird, I used to consistently pull out 10-15 cats out of there soon after a stocking. Couldn't believe I didn't even get a bite.
Actually I take that back, I did get a hit but just not by a catfish. Amazingly, I caught a bluegill on my M&M combo on the catfish pole. How he swallowed that hook, I don't know. There is actually a ton of bluegill in there now. Not many big ones but I caught about 20-25 on my tiny Quantum Micro setup.
If anyone wants to fish Hansen after the stocking, which should be in a week or so, PM me and we can meet up.
