Crawler

Well I just couldnt get enough. Headed back up friday night. Left at 11:45PM friday, pulled an all nighter  and arrived at mosquito flats at about 5:50AM saturday morning. I brought the wife and little kid this time. It was the first "camping in the dirt" trip for my daughter. :Envious: She loved it. When we arrived at camp saturday afternoon the first thing she said was "can I crawl around in the dirt mom?"
We hiked in a little ways from mosquito flats and started the day out fishing at Heart lake. Slammed a few brooks real quick and then started handing them off to the kid. She landed 3-4 and then we headed in further stopping to fish again at the inlet to Box Lake. I slammed a few fattie bows in the inlet creek and then handed one off to her. I decided the creek was a little challenging for her so we headed down to the lake. Handed off another 3-4 fish to her and slammed another 4-5 for myself. Brooks and bows. The bows were fat little guys, not real big, just healthy.
Then we walked back down the trail and stopped to fish the first lake, Mack lake. Threw the buoyants and a crawler for no love. This lake looks like it should hold some nice fish though. Nice and deep right off of shore. After a half an hour or so we headed back to the truck as the little one was tired and kept asking "when do we get to the campsite?"
We started down the road and hit up rock creek lake campgound first, only to be confronted with hail. Not wanting the kids first trip to be a wet one, we headed down to toms place to check the weather in the rest of the valley. We ended up going down to bishop as the weather looked a little more forgiving. It ended up being a good choice. We found a spot in four jeffereys and quickly occupied it. (everyplace was PACKED with people this weekend) We just hung out the rest of the day saturday, and fished Intake II sunday morning for a few hours before heading back home. We slammed 6-8 stocker bows there. Even got some bendo shots of the kid. What a great time.
Anyway, here are some of the pics, Enjoy.
