Decided to break out the fishing gear, and hit up NPH with the Bro in law. Went to break the gear out and my rod was broken! Good thing I got my stuff ready last night, I had enough time to run and grab another cheap combo...
Hit up NPH from the shore at 7am. Tide was low, fishing was slow...until it made its way in, and thats when it picked up.
Farmed two Hali's, and landed one 15"er. The first one snapped my 6# p line about 7 feet from shore. He was taking out line his first and second big runs...on his 3rd (and probably final) attempt he snapped my line. I managed to get a good look at him and he seemed to me, to be legal. DANG IT!
about 10 minutes later, same thing....fighting real good, but this time I was nursing him...so much so that he got rid of the hook, and left me baitless, and fishless.
