NPH W/BassWidow 5/23

Becky (BassWidow) and I decided to go down to NPH last minute Sat night. We got there at 2200 which was fine since the 6+ High tide was at 2042 limiting our spots fish. It was actually pretty slow considering all the water movement. Seems from reading other reports thats the story the past week. We did catch some fish so I am not complaining. We left at 0200. Fished our usual area. Kinda breazzy out of the south/southwest most of the night.

BassWidow and her 2nd ever shore caught butt! Also the first fish of the night.

After a long while of no more bites, I got this nicer grade Spottie. It was thick and had some shoulders!

I was on the D/S with Nuclear Chicken and BW was throwing a swimmy. The D/S seemed to be the ticket. I asked her if she wanted to D/S and she was content with her swimmy.

Not too long before we left I hooked up on a drag burner, thought for sure it was a legal hali the way it was pulling......I was wrong.

Like I said, it was slow for a 4 hour session but we had fun.

Good job out there. Looks like you did better in the evening than we did during the day. I am heading out again to fish from about 5pm till??? Going on foot this time. Maybe I will see you out there

Something burned my drag yesterday and we thought it was a monster hali but maybe it was that? LOL, I think I may have found something of yours that you left behind (see my post from our trip yesterday). Well congratz on catching nice quality fish. Sorry we couldn't join you. We're thinking of going on foot either Tues or Wed night... maybe we'll see you then. :Razz:

WTG on the late night assault. Becky, nice job on those NPH flatties. I'm hooked on the swimmies myself ever since Eddie slayed the spotties during my b-day trip. Eddie, yet another beautiful Sargo. Very nice! As Tesserz said, we may be out there sometime this week for some shore fishing. :Wink:
