Vail Update

These past few weeks have been a live bait mecca at the lake. Even some "pro's" were using the candy which personally I don't get. However I am here to say that you didn't need the live stuff to have success. And as far as the trout rumors. they are true. They even bit the plastic.



Here are a couple of pictures of Me and my buddy Stacy. Big fish were 7-4 caught on the drop shot with a 4 inch holographic shad worm and 7-2 was caught on a bomber Crank bait in baby bass. The trout was caught on the same drop shot rig.

Good job and welcome to the board. Fishing is not real easy at Vail right now, and you guys nailed some good ones. I am new to this board too, but I have been around fishing message boards for a while. If you want people to look at your post, you are going to have to jazz up the title a little. Edit your post and try something like, "Vail lunkers can still be caught on artificials, and I have the pictures to prove it."

Nice job out there. I have not used the "candy baits" in 6 weeks. I hate them! You have proved what I have been saying. They will eat other baits.

realistically though, i'm not going to post and then complain that someone saw it, but some people have funny opinions on that issue.
