Spear Hunter

We decided to head out to Skinner again yesterday. The plan was to try for striper again after we got in a little LMB fishing. Got out on the lake by 6:30 to a little breeze and started hitting up the reed areas for bass. The water is so clear right now we could see quite a few of them cruising around, and of course they can see you. Anyway the morning bite produced a few nice bass after which time we decided to head back to the inlet and try for some striper. Sat there for about 15 minutes and decided we weren't into striper fishing anymore so headed back out to try for more largemouth. Anything "watermelon" seemed to be the choice of the day. I had a couple decent sized ones spit the bait, my wife had at least a 5 lb. one come out of the water and do the head shake and come off, but in the end we boated 9 between us. We have decided this is our new favorite lake right now. We have our membership at Vail but just are underwhelmed with that place right now, not to mention the beautiful pea green color it is now. Anyway, here are a few pictures.
