NPH with CRVZ 5/17-Pics

Well,
I make it quick with the higlights.On the way out, we stopped by to say hello to the Flynby crew with SFE and Wingnut. GREAT people! Thanks for the tips guys. We should have followed them around for the day, as they seemed to crush it out there!! Great job.

We then set up at the bait barge for a couple hours. CRVZ had fun watching the sea lions and such. All they had was Sardines and they were huge. We had a lot of missed hits and broke off a couple, but had a blast!

We then set out to drift. I got hits on 4" swimmies with hammer Heads in mostly GREEN and BROWN/ORANGE. I finally caught a small bass drifting swimmies.

Then we decided to go try my SHARK spot at high tide. It paid off WELL!! The bite was ON. They went nuts and even had double hook ups Poor CRVZ broke off couple big ones..they liked to run under the boat and break her off.

All in all, she landed two sharks, one while I landed a 4.5' leopard!! She did awesome!!I have great video of a batray battle and the battle with my leopard. Here are the pics we had time to take. Another good day at NPH!!!!

Great Job you two!
I heard you guys were around the harbor somewhere on sunday. Arthur,Steve and Eric drifted by us (we were tubing)and gave us a heads up to be on the look out for you two. I'm glad you got your lady on those sharks. Bigred would have loved to get onto one of those leos....He has a leo mission on his mind lately.
There is just something about the salt that is so addicting.....You just never REALLY know what is at the other end of your line until you see color. Keep up the good work and thanks for the report!

Thanks bones!! I saw your pics up. We must have missed ya. Tell Bigred to hit me up and i'll show him our spot and let him know hwo we got on em. I caught that beast on 10lb line too!! I'm kinda proud of that. That is the second week in a row that I got a leo.

Next time, we'll hook up out there and trade some info!!

I teach Biology at a high school in San Diego and just showed my class the photo of the leopard shark on the LCD wide screen. First thing I had them do was identify the shark, which about 75% of the class did correctly. We then looked at the features of the shark such as the fins, eyes, and especially the leopard markings. Totally cool!! Anytime you get high school kids fascinated with living things is a winning lesson. Thanks alot for the cool shots!!

Great to see you and the CVRZ out on the water on Sunday. Wished we could have chatted a little longer but we both had our missions!

We may have got bigger numbers of fish but you 2 got us with the larger fish!
