Catalina Island 5/18 on the Pursuit

Augie and I boarded the Pursuit out of 22nd St. Landing for a little bit of R&R. It was nice just being out on the water today.

All in all, it was a nice day to be out on the water. I had a great time and would like to thank the crew for all their hard work today. The final fish count for the boat was 36 anglers who caught: 34 Calico Bass 19 Sheephead 33 Whitefish 57 Bocaccio 69 Rockfish 3 Lingcod 5 Sculpin 70 Perch. Hi pokerface12,

Great report and a good bunch of pictures ...... as always .... much appreciated. We get to ride a boat thru you that we might not go on ourselves. The Persuit has numbers so that qualifies as a boat that I might give a try and patronize. How could one NOT consider a boat that goes to Catalina for the price they offer. John's rep is solid as is his near-twin Danny Strunk !! ha ha ha Sorry ... little inside joke !!

Of course, I would 'MAN-UP' and defend the 'number' I bought and paid for....... no matter what ANYBODY, that's ANYBODY or group tried to do to get me off of it to fish themselves !! Outfit and a pocket-full of plastics means one can plant their two feet in one spot all-day-long !! ha ha ha I assume they would no shove me off the spot phyiscally ..... as black and whites would be waiting at the dock for them !!

Seems you've never ever had any trouble what-so-ever in that vien ....so I should expect none too !! If I went..... you'd be the first I'd ask, and hopefully you'd agree, to fish it with !! Serious !

It's always a good idea to buddy up with someone who knows the ropes of a new boat and crew.
