I've been looking forward to this trip with my dad and brother up the the Sierras for many months, and it certainly didn't disappoint.

The weather was superb. Sunny and warm  There were clear skies with just a few clouds in the sky to top off the beautiful scenery. I was actually suprised that it wasn't colder and that there was not much snow, except on the lakes in the higher elevations.

Fishing was AWESOME, and there were plenty of quality fish caught!!!!:Big Grin:

I'll go ahead and let the pictures speak for themselves...

After a delicious lunch at Schat's, we hit local streams in Bishop for some beautiful baby browns:

And a few rainbows:

Then we went to PVR and caught a few trout:

Including this nice 3 pounder:

Also got his greedy little fella on a crankbait that was nearly bigger than him!!!

The following morning, we hit up Lake Crowley and landed a few quality pick meat trout including this nice Brown

and even a few Sac perches, although they really haven't moved up to spawn yet...

Then in the evening, we headed for some local streams to hit up more quality little guys.

The perfect fishing spot...

Then the next morning, we decided to go back to Bishop and check out some places I had never been before.

Intake II - There were a ton of float-tubers and shore fishermen and fisherwomen...

Then we went up a little higher up in elevation and ended up at Lake Sabrina - apparently, the lake level was VERY low!!!
But the lake was stunning...

And there were a ton of fish that seemed congregated in certain areas, but they didn't seem interested in being caught today.

Then we headed over to South Lake.
Gorgeous as well!

And there were a ton of fish all over the place as well. Check this group of trout all facing an area were a small stream flowed into the lake:

We did end up fishing here and got some easy stockers:

This guy was camera shy...:Embarrassed:

Some random shots of other animals / insects we ran into:

There was this FAT rodent / beaver ? scurrying around that looked so cute!

Here's a HUGE bubble bee that landed on my brother's leg:

And LOTS of lizards at PVR, and even a snake, but I didn't get the picture of the snake...

And this was the coolest thing I saw...a bat initially trying to hunt down a lizard, and then while doing so, the bat got trapped in some branches and the lizard started to attack the bat!!!:EyePop: The bat was making some crazy hissing sounds! I've got it on a video as well, but will have to work on posting it a little later... can you guys see the bat and the lizard in the pic?

Lastly, here's a bonus pic with questions...What kind of fish is this and where is this body of water? I was very suprised to see a few of these just cruising around as I had no idea this species of fish lived in this body of water! Very cool!

All in all, it was an unforgettable trip.
