This G. Loomis MUR914CX-MB is the top of the line rod out of the Muskie series. The X stands for IMX, which rod makes this rod extremely light but it can handle business as a 30lb stick. SIC Guides & IMX blank so this rod is top notch. I've own this rod for about 2 years and it's been out on couple overnight trips as well as a couple 2 day trips. Worked great for yellows & albacores.
Cosmetically 8/10. There are a few scratches on the rod just above the fore grips, since this rod has a matte finish it is more susceptible to scratches. It's cranberry (red) in color & matte so it looks great.
This rod retailed for $385 and has been discontinued by G. Loomis. Give this rod a try, you won't be sorry.

Used this rod once on the surf for about 2 hours only. This thing can cast a mile but I'm getting a 9 footer instead... Retail $270. Clean rod, no stratches, pretty much brand new.
