My dad and I drove to tuttle creek 1rst day and banged out 20 fish on gulp worms wacky style in 2 hrs at the sand traps. Spent the night at tuttle creek and headed north to rock creek lake, great fishing there but no parking for a 30 ft 5th wheel so we fished for 2 hrs caught 16 more and headed south to creekside RV park. Our base for the next 2 days. Fished south lake and sabrina that afternoon for another 16 fish. Woke up the next morning and headed to Jacks in bishop for a big breakfast and the to upper PVR after an 1.5 hrs of one bite called it quits and hit the owens at big pine for one brown. my dad said boy lets go back where the fish are so we went to south lake again for another 16 fish and then we had to stop because we had kept all the fish that were injured so we were at 20 total sat was travel day home. all fish caught on 2 lb flouro mosquito hooks #10 smallest split shot possible and worms fished wacky style( hooked in the middle) cast out 40 ft let sink if not bit twitch reel repeat. I believe this is sierra smittys technique so thanks smitty if not whoever posted this technique thanks. my dad and I had a ball and you cant descrbe the scenery. ALL OF THE LAKES WERE VERY LOW BUT COMING UP FAST FROM THE MELT. Be careful if you are in a boat lots of rocks. hope this helps you memorial day guys LATER WOODY

... not the standard Berkley worms? Which colors? And, any reason you didn't use the regular worms?

Thanks for the help

No the are different, gulp worms float on the mosquito hooks power worms sink. dont get me wrong I have about 15 bags of power worms I just use them in different applications like with crappie jigs or float bubbles. also the gulp are supposed to emit a better scent trail. I am of the school when somthing is on fire dont mess with it.I did not even get into my lip ripperz which also work great up there- later woody

Billy b yes those are the exact worms we were using, they come in trays in a ziplock style package but be careful the package is hard to reseal and when they dry out they get brittle
