So those of you ninja fishers out there would you care to discuss what kind of gear you use as in rods and reels wise. I'm just curious as to what anyone would use if you would need to hop fences. Thanks!

To each his own Brother. Take what ever you normally fish with. I prefer a light spinning outfit when fishing at "night".

Have a retractable rod. That helps so you can hide your equipment fast.

I reccomend a teloscoping or collapsable rod and a cheap Shimano reel. Both around 11.00 each.

Telescoping rods are a PITA..
Guides get out of line etc and you cant see them at night, and not sensitive at all (for the most part, unless you go expensive)....

Suggest, cheap but usable stuff that you dont mind banging around or loosing..
Ugly Stick, (4'8") and semi disposable Reel...
Darkness allows for heavier line, so dont worry to much about size etc of gear.
8# or even 10# line would be OK..... I prefer nothing over 6# myself....

i use a $600 setup it dont matter as long as you catch fish and can run faster than your partner haha

most spots to ninja has a hole in the fence or just plain accesable. just wear all black stay low carry a 99 cent glow stick inside your jacket for when you need to re-rig your setup perferably i wear my dickies jacket the light won't shine through the fabric and the light stays on for the duration of ninja session. but what ever you do, don't run when you get caught fishing it will probably make the situation worse. most likly you'll get a slap on the wrist or face always pending...:Smack:

If you're. Fishing a place like Matthews, than bring a cheap setup, but other thanthat, it's simply just night fishing

You guys have it all wrong......... A real ninja angler carries a plastic bottle . Just wrap (I use aquafina water bottles) ... the shape allows for super long casts..........some cheap 30lb mono and a couple of 7/0 circle hooks. Don't forget some heavy objects to use as weights...... spark plugs, rocks, mother in law.... u know...... Hope this helps .:Beer Toast:

You must have been fishing in the pit on olive a lot in the late 90s. The spark plug sinker was very popular there. But I saw miller light cans instead of aqua fina water bottles.

Custom Phenix mag bass rod and Shimano Curado 100D. Just night fishing. A real ninja does not have to worry about being caught..
