Yeah man I had the same problem up there 2 weeks ago... as you may have seen my responses to other BBL reports.

Fish jumping everywhere but not biting. Once it goes off it should be nuts though!

You need to try trolling a dodger with a trailing night crawler 3-4' behind..

Bb, actually I pinch my worm in half and slide the half worm over the knot and leave the point/barb showing . Even at DVL trolling for the Big trout I always just use a half worm on a size #2 BAIT HOOK . Threading a hole worm might work better but this has worked for me at Big Bear and DVL for years . [ the bigger hook will hold the bigger trout alot better and the fish don't care as your trolling ] The Windy Point area was good this weekend on this setup but way to much boat traffic as you coudnt even go anywhere without 10 boats coming at you from 5 different directions , lol // db

I went with my cousin yesterday. The fish jumping were all carp, so don't get excited or frustrated about that, unless you like catching carp. The trout we metered were all 15 to 20 feet deep in about 30 feet of water. We ended up with 9 to about 2 pounds. Most on Powerbait but I got 2 on a Powertube with a 1/2 Powerworm trailer. Everyone trolling had a couple of fish, but no really big scores from what I saw. Don't go without electronics, and try around the middle of the lake near the Observatory. Nothing shallow, I think it's getting too warm and the weeds are growing.
