iwell, at least nobody called that black crappie a squawfish... so, maybe there's hope yet.
the spots of white crappie form verticle bands on their bodies while the spots of black crappie are spread randomly across their bodies.
It is rare if not impossible for crappie and bass to hybridize

Awsome, thanks guys! Looks like that little guy was my very first crappie. Another fisherman told me it was a Bass.
Am I right in thinking that LM Bass have solid black marble eyes (no white, gold, silver)?
