View Full Version : Stripers Gone Wild
Hit the duct this morning and I see a friend at my first stop. We fish a bit and nothing. I tell him I'm supposed to meet my dad at another spot so we decide to go. We pull up and my dad is fighting something big. It ends up being a 13 lb carp. We fish for awhile and no love. Someone pulled in a 9 lb striper right when my dad got there earlier though. My dad has to take off and my buddy and I decide to fish another spot and it was on. There must have been a nice school as we pulled 5 fish total. I got 2 and my buddy got 3 and also the largest one at around 6 lbs. I got both mine on the Trap in the pic. Buddy got his on the LC and some swim bait that looks like a tule perch.
So what do you guys think of the dorado/dolphin looking one I got? What a freak that one was. I recall Striper Bill catching one stubby nose one like that late last year.
We finally found some fish and it was ROCKIN like my VH t-shirt, LOL.

That is one wierd looking Striper?!?! WTG on the fish tough.
Yeah it's a weird one but they do appear as one just like it was caught in December of 08 by striper bill.

You are tearing it up Yolo.... Last time we caught 5 in the AV area was last Fall and there were 4 of us fishing it and we walked 5 miles. Awesome Post.
I must have missed Striper Bill's funky fish post. That thing really looked odd. Did you eat it?

That fish is a trip, though it looks friendly like a dolphin, there are dolphin species that are vicious !
This one looks scary in some wierd way...WTF is going on with that, if it were more mutated looking I'd say a birth defect but it looks 100% natural..
That is Strange !....interesting fish..
Hope I don't tangle with one !....I don't think I like those !

i'll pick u up...lets roll and catch one of those ugly looking stripers...
It's as if it tried to get through the gates too many times and didn't fit. Just bumping the head and it became deformed, lol. I don't know but it looks exactly like the one striper bill got in Dec. It had a mean lower lip. One heck of an underbite instead of an overbite.
