I am gonna be staying at the new shorebreak hotel this summer. i havent fished huntington at all so i need some help. i am gonna try and fish it a couple times before then so i can get a feel for it. heres my questions...

1) In july, what is the best way to catch sharks or batrays from the pier?

2) Is there anywhere in the harbor to fish that would be good for the rays?

Thanks,
S.G

Bat rays are around all year!!!! Summer is better!!!! Mid pier or farther and use 30lb or more pound test line 4-5oz weight and a 4/0 hook!!!!!!! Mac tails and whole squid is the best, but anchovies and sardines will get them!!!!!! Watch the tides and water temp!!! I like the water above 60. Tides don't matter to me, because I fish all day into night!!!!
