I took a friend out last week and the fishing was awesome! It was his first time and he will be back. We caught 25-30 bass, a 6# catfish and a beautiful 7# holdover trout and some smaller ones. Sorry, I do not have time to post pics.

We used plastics, cranks and jigs. Weather conditions were ideal both times with comfortable temps, an overcast sky and light winds.

I took my brother last Friday and you can read his post DVL Friday May1.

I wanted to get this last plug in for Diamond Valley Lake before I sign off. Guys we need to support it!

This is one of the best fisheries in Southern California. The marina staff is extremely helpful
and the boats, albeit that they need some work, are still some of the better ones of our lakes.

Both times we saw very, very light fishing pressure.

It takes a bit to learn the lake. I have paid my dues and often did not catch much, but things turned around for me after hiring great guides like Pete Marino and Art Berry!

I am concerned that due to the lack of, especially weekday support, the fishing community will lose its ability to use this great facility.

Go out fish DVL this month. The bite is red hot!

Best wishes and tight lines!!!
