Heads up for Newport , Balboa Island and CDM Tomorrow

You don't want to go there - believe me...

West Newport might not be too bad but CDM and Balboa Island will be completely F'ed up! OC Marathon tomorrow and many streets will be closed. Access in or out will be impossible at times. Some of the streets they are closing:

PCH - Including the PCH Bridge over NP harbor.
Bayside Dr.
The bridge to Balboa Island
Irvine Ave.
Parts of Jamboree
All of Back Bay Dr.

Now...my editorial comment:
I think this is pretty rude and inconsiderate to closed down all these streets and inconvenience so many people so a bunch of wannabe (and will never be) Olympic athletes can run a stupid race. You think they'd ever block off a section of beach and not allow swimmers or surfers in for a fishing tournament?

you make a good point! theres a lot of bs like this out there. but you see if we blocked off the nph etc... then there would be people like peta etc... coming in to complain etc... unless we make an organization against marathons....:Razz:

anyways thanks for the heads up! i've been trying to get out there and try my hand at some spotted bass.
