View Full Version : Getting back into fishing with some really nice bass

How's it going everyone? Just got back into fishing after about a 5-year hiatus. Went to a local lake about 3 days ago and caught a big Skunkeroo, not good for the confidence.

Yesterday, however, reminded me why I used to love bass fishing so much. One of my good buddies sent me to his honey hole and the action was great. Didn't farm any fish so the old skills are still there...its like riding a bike :LOL: Sorry for the secrecy in the pics but I promised him that I would not reveal the place.

6 were small between .75-1 lbs (no pics)

2 were both around 3 lbs (Pics #1 and #2)

1 was BIG, my best guesstimate would be around 5.5 lbs (Pics #3 and 4). I was throwing a 4" caterpillar and nailing those small 1 lbers on every 5th cast or so when I got hit by this big boy. Great fight on my small spinning setup.

Too bad I was fishing by myself or I would have been able to take better pictures

Haha, the old master speaks. I'm definitely looking forward to catching some fish with you again.

Thanks for the props guys. I live in the San Fernando Valley so if anyone around here wants to fish, hit me up. I'm down to fish pretty much anywhere.

The detective skills on this board are pretty impressive...I'm going to have to block out every leaf next time to keep the spot secret :LOL:
