View Full Version : You Gotta See What We Caught @ Lake Skinner Today!

Got a day off and called up a couple of friends headed up Lake Skinner 04-30-09. Got to the lake around 6:50 and rented a boat took off to everyone secret spot. Got there late and it was a lot of boat traffic jamb. Any way, the first a couple of hours all we did was just sit there watching three guys catching stripers one after another. :EyePop: We didn’t even get a single bite so I thought of my old plan and tried to drift the boat up and down the water current then “BAM” I got hit one after another and mist a few strike. :Angry: We returned the boat around 11:00. At the end of the day, I caught 3 stripers and gave 2 of them to a friend of mine at the campsite. The other friends that came with me on the boat caught 3 stripers pretty good sizes. All of them caught on Enchovy.

Looks like a great day, hope the bite holds with low pressure moving in tonight. i'll be out on Sunday.

Good size stripers. Skinner is a fun place to fish when the bites on. The bite goes on when water is flowing into the lake.

You got that right but try not to go there on the weekend. It's gonna be like a ZOOOOOOO..... Good luck fishing!!!!
