Let me start this report by first saying thank you to Tony CatchThatTrout for sending me the half off passes to Corona. I also want to thank Fisherman57 for calling my raffle ticket# and hooking me up with a free boat rental from the last event. Lastly I want to thank Melissa from Corona, I asked her for any helpful suggestions and her information proved critical in getting us on the fish. I have been to both Sarl and Corona a number of times the past few years, and based on my experience Melissa and Bradley are the two friendliest employees either lake has ever had imo! Because of them I will be back.
Okay onto the report....
Met up with PoxyBoggards and BoxLobster around 6am and grabbed our rental, Poxy made sure we got the choice boat and we headed over to spot #1.

Ernie fishing the pink powerworms was hammering...THE CLAMS!!!

Wes ready for action with his rod holders in place

It was wfo on the clams for Ernie so he started a collection!

The first stop proved uneventful and did not produce any bites so after 25-30 minutes we headed for a spot Ernie had fished last Friday with some success. No bites for almost 45 minutes and then my stick caught fire!
Fish #1 and skunk off the boat...

10-15 later and fish #2 falls prey
http://i275.photobucket.com/albums/jj285/troutdog_photobucket/Corona4282009008.jpg
Within an hour I put fish # 4 fish on the stringer, I found a sweet little hole the short leader Melissa at the gate suggested was making all the difference. Just then I thought I heard TM65's voice saying "almost time for a 2nd pass brah!" :ROFL:That is usally the kiss of death for me at the Vine and the bite shut down shortly thereafter. Meanwhile Wes and Ernie were still trying to get on the board....I felt the tension in the air and was worried I might be going swimming any minute! Luckily someone said something about trolling, so we pulled anchor and off we went!
Not long after Ernie was on....Ernie was pumped and Capt Wes was equally satisfied as you can see by the grin on his face!
http://i275.photobucket.com/albums/jj285/troutdog_photobucket/Corona4282009011.jpg
The result was Ernie's first ever crappie...we of course made him eat the heart!

We made a few eventual trips around the lake, losing a lure or two before going back to the spot that had produced a few fish. The fish had moved on and we quickly decided to try another spot that had been producing.

Anchored up to a spot and were greeted by this nice gentleman who informed of us all the lake rules including the "100 yds" away from the shore rule....uh sir that would be 100 feet and if that was the case what were you doing fishing 90 feet out. I musta been really confused especially when I asked him about the 2 rod limit and how tricky it must be to attend to the three he was using?
http://i275.photobucket.com/albums/jj285/troutdog_photobucket/Corona4282009017.jpg
I know he is a regular and I respect my elders so I don't mean to be putting him on blast, but dude was not a freindly guy out on the water. The best part was when he called the office on his cell phone saying we were causing trouble and crossing up "everyone's" lines. Credit the Corona staff for checking on the "problem" and quickly realizing we were doing nothing wrong and just waved hello to us  Oh well that is paylake fishing sometimes I guess...to the tuber's credit he was smiling and acted like a gentleman at the baitshop porch when we came in with our eventual catch. The Corona gods musta have been on our side at that point and sent some good fishing karma our way because this is when it got REALLY good!
Fishing crawlers and various plastics started nailing the fish between 3 and 4pm...Ernie nailed this little chunk on a crawler if I recall correctly.

Ernie strikes again with another solid fish!

Wes finally on the board with a beauty...

Nice bookend fish for Team57!
http://i275.photobucket.com/albums/jj285/troutdog_photobucket/Corona4282009022.jpg
I lost a bigger grade fish with about 5 minutes left, but I redeemed myself with another fish to finish the day for a limit, while Ernie finished with 4 and Wes had 3. Our12 fish weighed 25lbs on the scale....not bad!
Thanks for the net Bullets....very cool early B-day present!
http://i275.photobucket.com/albums/jj285/troutdog_photobucket/Corona4282009026.jpg
Took a couple quick pictures up front and were rewarded with a handful of discount tickets from Corona employee Bradley for doing so....here is the Corona pic, although it doesn't really do my tan much justice

http://i275.photobucket.com/albums/jj285/troutdog_photobucket/Corona4282009027.jpg
Had a great time at the lake and now that I am more familair with it I look forward to going back during catfish season!
Thanks for reading,
