Started the day with a late start. Sleept a little longer than what I would of wanted to so no grey light fishing for me today. Waited til 9:30am or so and drove down to Bolsa Chica. Picked up some ghosties at Big Fish Tackle on my way down. Got to bolsa, open my door and the wind is BLOWING...Oh well, I had already paid $10 for parking so I was gonna make the best of it. I fished for a couple hours with no bites and wind blowing in my face. Decided to make a move.

I noticed this seal on my way to the beach...Looks like somebody did a 187 on his @$$...

Arived at the Bird wing right at high tide. The wind was blowing just as hard here...but I had to get the skunk off. I threw the LC for a while til i got tired of backlashes from casting against the wind. Switched to the DS....and finally hooked up.

Wasnt anything of size but the skunk was off. I worked the DS for another hour or so without any bites...decided to make another move. I was tired of getting beat up by the surf and wind so I headed to a sheltered spot.

Arrived to the docks and started using my leftover ghosties on a carolina rig. I was hit on just about every drop. They wouldt stick so i switched to a smaller hook and viola!

I got about 5 of these...

NICE report homie...you slayed down here man!!! Nice surf dab.....at least the surf skunk is off you today.....

thinking about hitting NPH in the morning for awhile before work....let me know if you wanna go....

Thanks man...i got some tips from Eddie Moreno LOL cool guy. I would of slayed some more but i ran out of bait. NPH sounds good tomorrow...ill text u later. i forgot my phone in the car and im too burnt out to go get it LOL.

yeah....i have to leave like no later than 1115 ish to head to long beach to work......not sure if i wanna fish the reg spots, or the other one that someone told me about....

LOL...thanks hak. We need to fish those docks again. I got some good bites that jacked my bait. Once i ran out of candy...i tried the gulp but couldnt get them to bite anymore.

Good work on beating the skunk!

Man... That seal had better days. I guess he/she XXXed off a wrong angler or a boat owner. One can get really upset when these seals take that prize fish. Something needs to be done...
