Pyramid Homecoming

My First Post Anglers. Thanks for all your info on this site. Went to Pyramid for the first time since 89. Caught some Trout and Stripers.

..............April 12th. I was shore bound using swim bait and chovy.

....i caught this one the week before on a plastic swim bait. She hit like a florida strain.

Cool smoov, I caught a boatload of Stripers one night on a Watermelon Thomas Bouyant at Silverwood Lake -- in almost unfishable conditions (35+ mph gusts & rain sideways) to boot. Once I got into them, it was a hit on every single cast. I only kept a few for the freezer.

I am a virgin to silverwood....I want to give it a try however. Catching stripers never gets old to me. I'll plan a trip soon. I caught one small striper @ Pyramid using a super spook.....

From what I have seen on here and read here -- Silverwood is very hit or miss and a tough lake to fish. I think I just got lucky that night although I also hear the weather there can be a real bear as well!

Anyone else fishing near or around you that caught anything? Anyone fishing the marina? High winds no winds?

Winds were bipolar. At times it was perfect fishing conditions at other times it was pretty windy. The marina had about half a dozen anglers. Others caught stripers, no trout. Give it a shot.
