I went camping at Lake Cachuma with Jason “jscrib” and Mike “bajamike”.

Mike towed the “Red Drum” and I towed my Starcraft pop-up tent trailer.

We fished a half day Friday, most of the day on Saturday and couple hours on Sunday for a mix of 20+ Largemouth and Smallmouth Bass, 2 Crappie and 1 Rainbow Trout. All Bass were caught using plastic worms, except one of the Smallmouth Bass ate a spinnerblade. Mike caught the biggest Largemouth Bass that weighed in at 4.3 pounds.

Here is Jason with his first Bass of the trip.

Here is a picture of the lake conditions on Saturday afternoon, we had to pound through all the crap to get back the ramp.

Jason playing my REMO Djembe back at the campsite. Jason had brought his acoustic guitar, so we got to jam out to some of Jason’s original and seriously humorous songs. That was some fun stuff.

On Sunday I met up with Stuart “greylight” on the water, and took a picture of his 2 big Bass that ate a crank bait. Nice Bass Stu!

We all had a blast fishing the lake and can’t wait to do it again. HOOK-UP!!

holy ****, awesome pics, and glad you made it back to the ramp with those white caps! Also the water level looks fairly low? Lower than usual? On the otherhand it looks like the fishing was good!

Thanks for all the replies guys. I can't wait to do my next camping trip next month up at San Simeon Campground. Hopefully the winds will be light. Fishing the kelp beds and deeper hard bottom areas up there can be some insanely WFO fishing.
