Took my buddy out for his 2nd time ever fishing. First time was Irvine and it blew 30plus MPH. Today I figured if the weather cooperated, maybe some fish wanted to play. We got there 6am and headed straight to the go to spot...drop the mini jig and BLAM! First and only slab of the day. The bass wanted to play, and the trout were also on the chew. We stayed in our spot most of the day til 2pm and called it a day. It got breezy after 12pm, but fishable. We did troll a bit to the snack bar and back. 3 fish on the troll, and 5 or six on crawlers. Plus a nice gill and a load of smaller LMB. I did hook a nicer bass and hand off to buddy which got up top and went under the boat and busted him off, never got to see it, but gave him a good fight. Caught over a dozen mixed fish and he caught a handful also. Here's some pics, cooler pic....Another great day at the RUUUU!!!
