Convict Opener 2009 (pics)

Fished convict lake for the opener. launched the boat a little after 4. fished the inlet until 8 for about 30 fish between the 3 of us. lots of browns and a few fish above 3 pounds. headed to the jetty for a dink fest caught about 30 again went back to the inlet around 12 and sleeped for a while then started fishing again around 130 caught about 20 more until 4 and then started cruising the shoreline throwing artificials until the sun started to go behind the mountains and caught about 30 more with 3 in the 4 pound range. called it a day with over 100 fish caught. kept a 3 and 4 pounder and a few smaller grade fish for dinner and released the rest. all fish caught on artificials. morning temp was in the 20's with howling wind line was freezing until about 11 0'clock. sunday fiished for 3 hours caught about 15 or so and left.
