What's crackin guys ... I know the following is kind of lame and cheesy, but I had some spare time today and thought I'd share a hands-on how-to tip!

If you're like me, and you LOVE flippin Senkos and Stik-Os for either sight fishing or into tight cover, you may find the following rig helpful. I personally HATE the time it takes for these plastics to float through the water column, especially b/c I flyline Senks/Stiks when I'm using them. That's why I have started "Nail-in" mine...

SUPPLIES
-6"+ Senko or Stik-O
-roofing nail
-bread bag "twisty"
-scissors
-size 3/0 worm hook (this one happens to be a Mustad)

STEP 1
-CAREFULLY insert the nail into the worm

STEP 2
-Feed the length of the nail all the way through. You only want the head of the nail outside the body of the worm

STEP 3
-Find the "balance" point of the worm, and tie a bread bag "twisty" onto it. If you're like me, and tend to cast TOO hard, you know that Senks/Stiks can get thrashed after one-too-many casts when wacky rigging. Doing this step allows many more casts

STEP 4
-Cut-off excess"twisty"

STEP 5
-Instead of wacky riggin the worm through the body, slide hook through twisty. There are many different twisty colors out there, and you can choose which you'd prefer (color attractant???)

STEP 6
-Observe a wacky rigged Stik-O WITHOUT nail
http://i704.photobucket.com/albums/ww45/LunkerLover/WATERNONAIL.jpg

STEP 7
-Observe a wacky rigged Stik-O WITH nail. Notice that this method allows you to "hop" worm off of structure, rocks, floor, etc. all while attracting bass with the sound of the nail head contacting said surface ...

STEP 8
-Find a rock pile 20'+ down ... tap-tap-tap ... dance-dance-dance ... hook a healthy post-spawner!

thanks for the tip, i know one that not alot of people know about. its putting a coffe straw through the top of the bait and pushing it through to the end of the bait. the same way you did with the nail. then you leave the straw in the bait and stick your line into the holes of the straw and tie a feather treble hook at the end and thier you go. i will post pics on what it looks like later.

God Bless

nice job. btw, try some small o-rings for your wacky baits. they have been seeing more use recently among those in the know and are fairly difficult to see, plus you get lots on a bulk pack for the price.
