This is a half a report only so had to post in photos since the lake is on the hush hush... I recently picked up a Cumara Spinning Rod from flopps and had to get out and try to break it in. Plan was to fish the bass but bring some bait just in case.........

Ended up with a few dink bass which didnt stand a chance against the cumara and Stradic Mgfb. Spotted a giant lurkin really shallow so had to break out the bait and this is the end result....

This thing had to be pushing 30 pounds atleast... What a fight... It almost completely spooled me on 8#..... Thats a full size mens backpack.... Released the beast to fight another day.

It did fight like a yellow. I took off almost the whole dang spool on its first run. FUN stuff.... You should try carp fishing sometime. I had to bust a ninja cast on the carp cause it was only 3 feet from shore. Perfect cast and the carp sucked it right up. Always fun to see a monster fish eat your bait...

I heard Carp taste like crap, do they really taste good? They look like Koi or Goldfish to me, as they are related.

Thanks for looking and commenting guys. Carp are fighting machines... The most underrated player in the game...

My parents like eating carp but have said that city carp arent to tasty compared to carp from bigger lakes such as skinner.
