Took the hike out of Lundy on Friday the 15th to Ondeida Lake. The hike is roughly 3-1/4 miles long and pretty steep in some points, but lots of beautiful scenery along the way. The only problem going at this time of the year is the bug population as we found out as we got to the lake. When the breeze died down, it was like walking through walls of nats. But over all the fishing was pretty good. Lots of brooks and browns on wide selection of bouyants and kastmasters. Bubble and fly seemed to be key for the goldens as well. Blue wing olive w/ bead head seemed to tbe the ticket. On the trail at 6:30 at the lake at 8:45, fished till 12:00 and between the 3 of us about 60 fish total. Biggest being a 1-1/2 pound brooke taken on a single salmon egg. Air temp at 68 in the morning, and reaching 94 at noon. I'll get pictures up soon when I get the chance.
Heres a few links of where the lake is located.
