Got a very late start (hit the lake at 11:00) and the wind was blowing so hard (I'd say maybe 20 - 25 with gusts to 35) they wouldn't let me launch. When I got out of the car I decided that I wouldn't have launched anyway. The kids still wanted to fish so we fished right next to the ramp (I think this is where I saw swimbait). My Dad didn't even want to deal with it, he sat and watched.
We fished for about an hour and a half. My kids kept getting their night crawlers chewed up. I started to throw a spinner bait and had some followers (looked like trout to me) so I started to throw a small white rooster tail. Landed three trout up to one pound. We had lunch and left.

Oh yeah, one of the trout did have a whole shad in it's stomach.
