Just got home at 930pm and thought I would drop a quick report. Ill put up pics tmrw when I get some more time... Anyway went on the private charter out of Point Loma on the Mission Belle, and I have one word to describe fishing at Coronado today, AWSOME!!!!! I limited on Tree Fish in the first hr as others were catching there share or Tree fish, sculpin, rockfish, and one guy caught 2 ling cod but not long enough. Then it came............................ 48 BARACUDA!!!!! We had 20 on our boat, and only about 13-15 fished because of the swells, many people were sea sick(including me but only a lil bit) The swells were about 10-15ft.. About 8 people limited on Baracuda, and they were nice size also. We stayed hot on them for the majority of the day. Bait used was live bait, and also Tady Lures white/blue, and chrome/blue were working non stop. Our captain and the 2 deck hands were awsome helping everyone out, including making sure the younger ones on our boat got to pull in a few cuda. I ended with 5 Tree Fish, 2 Cuba and countless Cuda lost. Great time, and cant wait for the next one...... Pics coming tmrw

Awesome! good to see the barracuda showing up...cant wait til they start showing up locally so can make a weekday trip...they sure are fun to catch on the iron. 10-15' sweels...WOW LOL...Ive been on a trip with 10 footers and its pretty hard to fish and keep ur balance at the same time. One hand on ur rod, the other on the rail LOL. Good job braving the conditions and cant wait for the pics

YUP!! Limit on all fish in Mex waters is 5. with the following exceptions of Dorado which is 2 and count as five towards your over all limit. Billfish limit is 1. Google Mexican fishing regulations.

Nice report! Glad to see you had a good time despite the swells! Never had a bad trip on the Belle! Anyhow, the fact that cuda's hit is a very good sign of things to come. Cuda's schools, bonito's, and the yellows are soon to follow.

The html code you had posted had "http://" repeated twice and thats why the pics were not showing...... I fixed the code and here they are:

To see the proper code... go into your post and click "edit" and then click the box in the upper right hand corner that has two letter "A" (switch editor mode) and you'll be able to see the adjustments I made and the proper code that should be posted when using photobucket.

Nice report... thanks again!.....

Great pics & nice job on the cudas!

I get the distinct feeling you are "hooked" now and can't wait to get back out there and catch them on jigs!

Looking forward to future reports!

Its funny you say that. I was hooked for my 1st year out here on nothing but freshwater, and then decided to venture over, and now, I still freshwater fish but no where near what I used to do. I am hooked, and there is nothing like throwing a Tady Lure out and bringing in a niiiiiice fish!!!!! As of right now, my next trip will be an overnighter out of SeaForth at the begining of Aug. I would love to do some 1/2 days and 3/4 between now and then, but I just lost my job at Pepsi and its getting ugly....
