oK so at my school we have a project that can be about anything. We have 1 week off of school to do this project and I really want it to have to do with fishing. We have 150 dollars and 1 week to do this. We can honestly do whatever we want to do for this project and then we present it however we want. What do you guys think I could do for the project that has to do with fishing. Im thinking possibly wrap a rod but idk.

what do u guys think?

wrapping a rod takes a while and you need the wrap machine to do it. do a report and show how lakes have changed so much by poachers. its just a idea

Wrapping rods does take a bit of time and patience. You don't have to have a wrapper, I don't. Hand wrapping IMO is better for more delicate wraps, but I haven't tried power wrappers yet, so...

You can find out why certain baits appeal more to bass than others and how conditions affect the bite. Research for yourself with time on the water to become a better fisherman, and share your results with your class. Use the $150 to buy yourself a posterboard and a nice reel.

Make a poster and show all the fish from lakes to river/creeks/duct to the big salty pond have pics of the fish (I did 23 fish from fresh and salt) next to the pictures right how you would catch them what technique you would use from split shotting a salmon egg to fly ling a senko all the way up to pitching a mac on a bill fish. Put what lures/baits you would use etc from bright days to night the spawn season to seasonal fishing and add lots of color
pics of the fish in between make sure there big and bloody so the teachers say wtf is that thing. If the mlpa thing happen last year when i was in School i would have put that in it too and how they want to stop us salt men. Good luck on what you do i got an F on this thing so. lol j.k got an A

Do a project about the decreasing water levels.

How about doing a report on the white seabass? Start by visiting the white seabass hatchery and do a report on the repopulation of the species through the program, you can talk about forage etc....highlight the report by spending the $150 on an overnighter taking pics of the live squid as it is getting loaded into the tanks and cap it off with your 50lb jackpot fish!

Good luck,

Take the $150 and RUN........

Tell the teach your dog ate the report!!!

All good ideas...
The WSB one would be very interesting, and a lot of research has already been done for you..

Very timely also for a GREEN report...
