Had day off..so left note on door...GONE FISHING!

have to say the skies looked threatening..thought was gin to get rained on
but had frog toggs in boat so i was ready..
not too much boat traffic..well except the dude i the small boat who cut me off...
man if i had a 30mm deck gun..i was turning into a cove to fish and this guy passes me on the inside between me and the shore..mind you was not far from shore...anywhoo this buffoon went his way..i and got to fishing....tried my fave rigs..but found love love..then came across a pattern that worked....(and it worked rest of day)

nabbed this dude...and then went looking for other similar looking areas..

ok i admit a shameless product plug...LOL
stayed with the drop shot and did quit well...managed about 10 in the 2-3 range..
well my digi scale said so..as every fish tale has one...lost a toad at boat side that bass towed me and the boat around..that was a cool. a first!
stayed with game plan and did good..oh..and nabbed me a gill on the drop shot..

water still bout 10-15' below normal..with a few shallow reefs to mind..
water was from 63-66 degrees..very clear..
all fish released... even gill after it spiked me ...

Wow..Very nice bass report for Skinner. Thats the kind of fishing you see at Vail where the lake is plugged with largemouth. Not many people can post a 10 bass day at Skinner with quality to boot!! Skinner is a VERY tough lake...this is one of the better largemouth reports from skinner this year. Good job!!
