Got a day off from work today and decided to gear up for bluegills. Left home at 4:50 in the morning and got to the lake at 6:45. Marina open from 7 am to 5 pm on weekday. Weekend open from 7 am to 6 pm. The fee is $3.00 per person to fish on the dock. 15 minutes more seems too long for me. So, I decided to float tube at Lot 12 instead. It was slow for me. I only caught 1 redear and 2 bluegills. Went back to the marina around 9:45 and saw bluegills every where under the dock. I caught a bunch of them but mostly little. Only kept a decent size and tossed back the little one. Everyone on the dock had a blast today. All caught on Crickets and 2lb test line. I decided to call it a day around 4 pm trying to beat the traffic.

I caught a bunch of them last year. This year I haven't caught any yet. Hopefully, those gills start to bite hard in a few more weeks. :LOL:
