Late Sunday report

Long story short...Bullets, Lil' Miss and I hit up Perris Sunday. None of us had ever been there so we really had no idea where to go. We ended up fishing from shore in the boat dock cove. Bullets landed a good-sized gill, Lil Miss' landed her second LMB ever and a little trout, and I caught a weird-looking bluegill that kind of looked like a tilpia/bluegill mix. Something around that area was spooking the shad because they were jumping all over the place. Something that was really cool was seeing three big LMB all go airborn at the same time in the middle of the shad. Anyway, here are the pics.

Oh ya, it was HOT so we huddled underneath the walkway leading to the dock.

Celeste wanted her version posted so she emailed me her version....here it is:

I went fishing with my uncle Ryan and my dad. We went fishing at lake Perris. First, we fished the dock and had to move because a boat was going to dock it where we were fishing. So, we moved to the other side of the dock. Nothing. Sooo, we moved to the sandy area y the rocks. Then my dad caught a huge blue gill but he didn't keep it. Then we saw loads of shad jumping out of the water because there was something coming after them. After the boil (as my dad calls it) I got bit. It was a desent sized large mouth bass. We all kept getting bites. I think my uncle Ryan had fish on but it broke the line..... Then i got another bite it was a small rainbow trout. After a few hours, we left.
