Red Drum

I went up to Port Hueneme on Sat. 4/18 to pick up my little boat “Red Drum” that was getting some work done on the engine. I decided to do a sea trial before towing the boat all the way back down to the San Fernando Valley.
Launched out of Channel Island Harbor, here is a pic of the harbor.

I fished the outside of the break wall for my first ever Walleye Surf Perch that I’ve caught aboard the “Red Drum”. Santa Cruz Island in the back ground.

Then I bounced balled for a short time and only snagged a pretty little Shrimp that I later used for bait the next day.

Did an afternoon fishing trip on Sunday 4/19 out in the Santa Monica Bay with Jason “jscrib”, after I completed all my honey-do’s.
On my first drop, I hooked a cute little Triggerfish.
