Rounded up the guys for a trip aboard the Spitfire out of Marina Del Rey Sportfishing. Todays group was Ghettodad(Steve), Hakaveli(Mike), Hak's friend, Hak's friends gf, Osiito(Jason), and me! The plan was to head up north toward point dume, make a few drifts and load up the sacks with rockfish...then move in to see if some lings wanted to play. The fishing was pretty good for most of the morning. The later it got, the slower the fishing got... I still managed to catch a limit of Rockfish. We moved in shallow later in the day to see if we can hook some lings but they didnt want to play today. Capt Jeremy did his best to keep us on the fish.

We had great summerlike weather today...warm, flat, sunny

I had a great time today and plan to make more Spitfire trips soon. The "new" crew is top notch and capt Jeremy worked hard to keep us on fish all day... Its not the legendary Spitfire crew, but believe me, These guys work hard. Thanks Oz, Hak, and Steve for coming out today. I hope u all had as much fun as I did. It was good fishing with u guys again and Ill see u on GD's Icon charter.

Yo,

Sorry guys...i gotta make this short, im EXHAUSTED!!!

First of all, thanks Vic for the invite, I had a GREAT time today. Yeah, it was really starange being on that boat without Steven, Long Range Bobby, Morgan, and Derrik, I can't wait to fish with them on the tradition when they bring it in to fish 3/4 Day.

Second, the new spitfire crew is excellent, I would like to thank them for all their hard work. Capt Jeremy SOOOOOO reminds me of Jerry G, I almost thought it was him when I walked onto the boat in the morning. The cook (sorry bro, forgot your name) was excellent, the deck crew (Dillon and pierced lip dude, lol...sorry, forgot your name too) was excellent, and Jeremy worked his *** off to put us on fish. What I really liked is that he didnt sit on a drift too long if they weren't biting.

Weather was nice, almost TOO hot at times, my milky white eblows got sunburned...lol...I fished the Jax jig about 99% of the time.....

Even tho our crew fishing today was smaller than our norm, trust me, we didnt run short on the sh** talking and just good times and hanging out with the homies.......HAK, you are NOT allowed to drink and energy drink before ANY of our trips....dude was like the Cambodian Energizer Bunny the first two hours in the morning...

OG Vic, Oz, Mr Velli, dude and dudes GF, thanks for being there today, it was great fun..heres a few pics...enjoy!!

I love the Tecate can in the pic for a "true to life" size reference.
I try to do that when I catch fish bigger than a 12 oz can....

Good job out there

Ghetto Dad--

Great Report Steve.. Good to hear I got a clone out there representing me out on the water. Anyone who is just like me has got to be a fishaholic...

Your report reminded me of all the great times I've had spending winter days camped out up in the bow bouncing Jax jigs off the rocks. Now that's what I call Coddin!! I remember way back when I think you were working on the Toro and we went to go fish Cod at Osborn Bank. That was good fishing for the BIG LINGS. That had to be about 20 years ago.. It seems like yesterday. Time really does fly when your fishing...
