Went to Perris today with Seng, Pokerface, and fish principle. Not much going on yet but signs of life starting to show. Saw a few crappie and small gills caught on the marina. We ended up with one bass, one bass with a professional release and two gills.

Wow! It must be really slow since you went out with Seng and Pokerface and didn't do very good. If there were fish out there, I'm sure you guys would of gotten them. Next time I'm sure you'll slay them!

Sorry to hear it was slow yesterday. A couple of years ago, a guy in the tackle shop near the lake, that's no longer there, told me about a man made reef that the DFG made out of old tires. He said it's on the back side of the island. He said that's the place to go for big gills. I didn't have the electronics to find them then, but I do now. Has anyone else heard of this or was the guy just blowing smoke?

I'm gonna get a fish finder and learn how to find the gills and crappie in open water. I'm up for the challenge.

The tire reef is pretty well known, just look for all the boats in one area. From the ramp it is kinda on the other side of the island. Its closer to the shore than the island.

As for big gils I don't know. But structure holds fish and there not much structure out there,
