Nice report.

What kind of lure were you using. I have had luck in the past with regular BH swimmies and crank baits.

Also, how do you like the PENN low profile. I was debating to go with PENN or Abu inshore.

Nick,

Glad to see you get out again.

Not sure if you remember but I met you at the Granny's Surf City Rumble while I just happened to be trying to experiment with the surf and you were on the north end of the line of Team 57 folks and told me I should comeover and meet some of the Members.

I went on my way that day without meeting any others but I still remember personally meeting my first Team 57 member that day,

I also remember that you had a 10" or so dead Mac buttoned on the end of you trout rod and you were heaving it out in hopes of getting a Leo!:ROFL:

Since then I have become a member and now I see we will meet again if you continue to attack my favorite Harbor!!

Thanks for the report and pics!

OH BOY OH BOY.....Nick is in the hood!
Great job dude....I was wondering when the next tube adventure was going to take place. Me and Bigred are getting our tubing stuff together for an assault up north but we also plan to head on south..
Great post and pics buddy.

Hey RU down for a night time tubing assault? I think the bigger models are on the night chew!

GD Steve, Eric, Dwain, L.liner, D.roots, Wingnut,
thanks for the props!

Ken, I was using a generic smelt colored d/s worm. i opted out of the BH just on preference that day, no reason. I also worked the deep diver for 30 mins without a hit.
I was sold on penn for their reliability and the fact that they produce more for the salt. Although the Revo is probably smoother and has more drag pressure, the Sargus still stood out to me. The casting is fine, but its not as quiet as say the Coastal. The Sargus also has greater line capacity. So far after a good rinse, it works like new.

Steve (Flyingby),
Bolsa Chica! great memories, Mike you were there too! Im glad you got plugged into this awesome network of anglers, and I can see you're certainly dialed from the surf/shore. no i didnt get hit on the mac, but it sure was fun. I do hope to see you around the harbor as I will probably try it again. hope you can lend me some pointers!

Mike, I have a rotating work schedule, but i'll let you know when plan to hit up the tube again. Ive been hitting nph and cherry with moderate success. best way to reach me is email, ill pm you my address and phone. the north sounds fishy too, im down, depending on my work sched.
