I am looking forward to making my first expedition up to Deep Creek. Any suggestions on the easiest way to get there? I've heard people talk about hook creek road but i also know many people come up from the backside. Any suggestions on which direction to take? I catch and release all native trout and will post a report as soon as i'm back. If you want to pm me instead of posting that would be great as well. Thanks in advance for the help guys.

run a web search for southern california hot springs, you may find a few tips but be warned there are lots of naked people down there...

Nothing like trying to cast your way up stream and see a bunch of really old people.. UGG not what I want to do.. For some people there just isnt enough sunscreen to cover them up!! But so far I have only came up on one person out nude sunbathing. Yes that was more than gross, seeing a 60 year old guy out on a beach towel reading a book.. We didnt cast into that pool.

Did you go to Deep Creek? I have always thought about going there and looking for 'wild trout.'

You will find the history and a map on how to get to deep creek from the hook creek road side and also the other side.
Best fishing for me has been at the T-6 crossing and down stream to the Splinters cabin area. holcomb creek(further down stream is really good)

thanks everyone for the help. Will post a report right now. As far as seeing nude people or even people, Not one except two dirt bikes all day.
