Nice report as usual JR!

So certain Japanese lakes ahve banned plastics altogether because of the littering? Yikes. I just don't ever see that happening here in the States....we would riot!

Belated happy birthday mang! Way to brave the weather and still managed to fish regardless the "zero" outcome. Took the Trophy out for seatrials after being dry for 8 months and I only made it out the harbor mouth but quickly turned around, not worth it the fish can wait another day. Kudos to the skipper for giving everyone another ride to fish another day.

Hi Sansou,

Actually, as strange as it sounds .... I believe it is only the soft worm and grubs as well as the rubber jig and spinnerbait skirted lures. All the articles I read, had no mention of soft plaastic swimbaits or .... of course hardbaits. I'll have to ask my buddy Capt. G in Japan as to if some lakes have banned swimmies too !! I doubt it .... but !!

Sheeh first it's you can get cited if caught throwing back Bass in certain waters and now it's the rubber !!

Hi BIGRED KILLA,

I kinda like the one with the little ball at the tail !! Lots of rat-tail plastics as well as the rough-surfaced baits coming to the fore.

On a serious note, more and more of the Japanese softbait makers have English language page options. One example had a button showing the word English so the reader could get the info in English. Of course, the button's languge was Japanese (in Kanji) !! ha ha

Hi fish_sauce,

Thank you much. I hope my reports inspire others to go fishing and take kids or prospective fishing buddys along too !! We are an endangered species !!

Hi Jikser,

Thank you. Smart man, good mariner ..... it would have been trough handling the boat and ..... fishing. I didn't put it in the report but the SportKing just made it out of the harbor only to turn back in a minute.
