Borrowed the GF's truck today to run some errands after yesterday's flat tire fiasco. Brought the waders, vest and 3wt weight with me since I was gonna be in the area.

Lil rusty on the fly rod lately. Either setting the hook too early or too late or not hard enough on most of the bigger fish I hooked. Ended up with a bunch of little guys but had fun regardless. Ended losing like 3-4 pretty nice ones to 13" or a little more maybe. One of them maybe pretty big.. couldn't see it.

Here's some pics from the quick trip.

I found my Easter egg a day late. It had nothing in it  I took it home anyways.

The fish everywhere love City Dad's flies!!http://i240.photobucket.com/albums/ff280/tacklejunkie/browns%204-13-09/brownies007.jpg

One of the harder fighting ones

Lost a couple nice ones just before this one.
I've lost those two before. Several times. I think they might be big and smart :EyePop: Smarter than me anyways. They talked this guy into eating my offering instead.

Such a small place but I keep finding new little tiny cracks that hold these huge stubborn and smart fish. Ground covered in total was 3.7something miles on the GPS. New updates on the GPS and it actually worked no problems thins time

Thanks for looking.

Pretty cool. I just broke my rod tip on that little 3wt. up there last week. Already sent to WA for the warranty. Hopefully get it back this week.

I was over a few ridges from you today with the 4wt. Some little bows on the Elk Hair Caddis.

Casey,

I hiked up there and planted the egg to mark the spot for you!

Those are the little guys that I love to hunt in my backyard also.

Don't worry, the feel will come back very quickly for you!

Thanks for the pics and report.
