I have been to Skinner lake a few time in the past, but never this early in the year and total skunked as this trip.
There were 8 of us on a pontoon, and among all 6 rods that we had with entrovys and chicken liver, we only had 2 nibbles the whole day (from 9 to 4).
We only saw a woman on shore of ramp 1 at the point jumped into the lake, swam out to retrieved her rod that got pulled out by a 3 pounders striper. She landed the striper, eventually. That was the excitement of the day.
Saw another puled up by the guy in front of the marina.
That was it.
What a disappointment it was for all the 4 kids.
Tried to fish for blue gill and none was found.
Water level is the highest I have ever seen. Water is still flowing in from the inlet.
