Fished Laguna Niguel Lake today with my dad and friend John. We got there at about 6:30 and we were suprisingly the third or fourth car there. We were expecting a bigger crowd and it was a nice surprise. We set up over in the flats and I farmed a decent fish about 30 mins in. John landed 2 on p-bait and p-mouse at around 8. It was really slow untill about 1 when i hooked a nice rainbow on a Pearl minijig. I got it to the shore but it broke off while landing it. About an hour later, i landed 2 nice fish on a dropshotted nightcrawler (too lazy to re-rig). One went about 2.5 lbs and one about 1 lb. My dad got the last fish of the day on a pearl minijig. Fun day with good late season action
