Went to NPH today a little breezy, but not a bad day to fish. First 15min and my wife gets her first surf fish watching her fight it was priceless. too bad i couldn't get a recording

Right on you guys, nice job. Nothing beats a nice, relaxing day fishing. Especially at that beautiful bay in Newport. Thanks for the report, got me motivated to go for a little night sesh tonight.

Congrats on the catch, I'm sure you got her hooked now! Technically, it's a harbor fish unless you catch it in the open surf. :Wink: Doesn't matter... great job to both of you. I'm expecting a report with your wife holding a legal Halibut next time!

Yeah I told her that but she insisted that since we were fishing from the shore lines that it was a surf fish. Didn't want to fight her on it (Happy wife = more fishing).

That spottie is no Dink i bet it fought 2x better then the short butt. Thanks for the pics and report keep it up out there.
