I had another trip to Perris on Fri... This time Chris and "Berto" wanted to get out to Perris to learn how to catch some bass.
Berto is a trout guy with very little bass fishing experience and Chris also had some experience fishing but had never caught a bass in his life.
The night before the trip the weather called for rain and wind at the lake. I called Chris and told him to bring the rain gear because we'd more then likely be getting rained on. He was all fired up and didnt care about some rain!!! Thats what i like to hear...
When we arived at the lake the sky was cloudy but it wasnt raining and the wind wasnt blowing...
Infact, it never rained at all... AND the wind NEVER blew!!
It turned out to be perfect weather for fishing.. mild temps, lots of cloud cover and little to no wind.
Within 5 mintues of fishing Chris hooked his 1st ever bass!!! He was STOKED!!! Then he caught another...and another... Dude was on fire!!!
He had Berto 7-0 at one point before Berto decided to come up to the front of the boat to fish and let Chris have the back of the boat.
About that time Chris hooked back to back bass in the back of the boat!! hahahahaha
Finally Berto got the skunk off and started catching bass..
By the end of the day over 33 bass were caught and Chris and Berto couldnt have been happier. Chris went from never catching a bass in his life to catching close to 20..
Chris had the big bass of the day at just over 4 lbs... and I think he had another 4 lber as well. Berto had at least 2 that were close to 4 lbs.
Most of the bass were between 2- 3 1/2 lbs.. not to mention one 6 incher.
Berto had the honor of catching the smallest bass of the day.. That MONSTER 6 incher!! hahahahha
All bass were caught using 5-6 lb line and finesse techniques.. 3-10 ft of water..
All in all they had a great day on the lake and couldnt have been happier.
