Decided to hit the honey hole last night. Caught 10 or so fish in about 2 hours. Was using 5" Watermelon w/ Black Flake Senko's Texas Rigged, man I LOVE these things. Just started using em and I'm def. hooked.

Great post!!! I have not tried the Senko's yet. Perhaps I should give them a go.
Thanks

Senkos are fun. I actually have a rod just for them. But you know what? Its my last resort bait. I mean, last, last resort. If you cant catch a fish on a Senko there are no fish or you should take up Bocce Ball. :-)

What rod do you use?

Its a custom tied Loomis blank that they made just for Senko fishing. I have the Baitcast version. Marc at Performance Tackle in Los Alamitos ties all my rods. Its just over 7 ft, medium action with a fast taper and down wrapped. I think they have a spinning reel version since some people like to fish Senkos with a spinning reel.

Cool. I was just checking out the yamamoto site and it looks like he has came out with a few rods himself for fishing his plastics.
