What a day!
Got to the lake at around 12 and got out at 12:30. I headed over to the usual spot by the kayak launch. The fish were there, but it was a joke! The wind was insane! I would anchor the boat with both anchors, yet I would drift like crazy! I had to cast, and fish with one hand and maneuver the boat with the motor in the other. It was a total pain!
I ended up limiting out in around an hour. I hooked around 7, but they either got wrapped around the bouys or they snapped. Once they were past the bouys, the fish were landed. Largest fish weighed in at 2.11lbs. I decided to head to the coves and use Roboworms for bass, and missed a strike. That was about it. No bass action.
At least I ended up limiting in some of the worst wind conditions. LMV needs some heavier anchors.
