I use krocodile lures in the surf but have had fish come of right at the sand on treble hooks. Think about switching my krocodiles over from treble hooks to single hooks what are the pros and cons? The krocodiles I use are 3/8, 1/2, 5/8, and, 3/4 oz.
Thank you in advance for all your info.

I would stick to the trebs if you want some trebs that will stick better use some offset trebs I put them on my rattletraps and they do great.

In my experience switching to single hooks on such a heavy lure will probably lose you more fish than it will gain you. The thing with spoons like that is they have a lot of weight to 'em in a compact space, and it's all hinged directly to the hook. A violent headshake with some slack in the line will often create enough momentum in the lure for the hook to get jerked free. I'd say just use better trebles if you aren't getting your hooksets. And remember, sand dulls the hell out of the best hooks in no time.
