Jenks Lake with the wife

Went up to Jenks on the 9th to float tube gate was closed so had to hike down the road. got in the water around 9:30 am and it was on the Trout were biting on just about anything that was thrown at them. Got the wife out in the float tube for the first time and She seemed to really enjoy it until the wind kicked up and blew here all over the lake limited out in a few hours and released a good 15 trout . the weather was sunny but the wind was cold
This Little Alpine lake is the perfect lake to get someone out in the float tube for the first time .I think i have a new fishing buddy and will try castaic lagoon next with her. Attached a few pics

so the parking lot and road is still closed?
how far of a walk is it from where you can park?

I think the gate should be open now the note on gate said closed due to weather . did not see a lake host as in previous years no trailer spotted on site do not know who is running the showup their this year it is about a quarter mile walk not that bad if you keep the stuff you bring to a minimum

the fishing was very good
